Get Mario and go to the Mario course (the course where you unlock Mario). Slide down the log, jump off, bypass the goomba and do a triple jump onto the first rising and falling log (be aware that the toxic gas can still hurt you from there). Jump across the logs (quickly) and dash by the pirhana plant (make sure you disregard the fact that it will start chomping at you). Climb up the vine and jump off, then dash across the bridge and jump over the pirhana plant and jump in the X performing a double jump.

To defeat Goomboss fast and somewhat easily, run around him, kick him in the back and grab the mushroom. Then, just punch him three times.
