The crystals you collect during gameplay that enhance certain abilities will fade, crack and crumble and are removed from your stock along with their powers. If you highlight the crystal before it breaks and select 'Drop' and then pick it up the crystal will be replenished.
After u have completed the game go up to ther north east corner of the town with the dragon dojo, near cho-lies hut. Red will be walking around there u can talk to him.
I found out by accident that if you begin drawing the symbol for a spell, if you immediately tap the inventory button, everything in the game will stop, except for you.It doesn't cause any technical problems with the game afterwards, and to restart time again, you just need to start another spell without interruption. You can't activate anything like doors or switches, or even shadow realm portals, but it can be very useful. I'm not sure if it works on every Ds, but it works for both of mine.

If you step on a portal you go to the Shawdow Realm were there are tough enemies.
I lost my game and I hadn't played it in a long time so sorry if this is the wrong game are this doesn't work.
To get easy HP when freeing dragons is travel from the shadow world to the normal world and kill a few crabs, sheep, or anything else that gives you a butterfly.
Getting MP is harder. You travel to the shadow world and kill shadow creatures, which are harder to beat.
