In Rune factory 3 if you make a mistake or just get bored with your name you can change it. Just head to the inn which is to the right of your tree house, it'll be the first building. Theres a girl called Mei from the first Rune factory, who appears sometimes there and says she can effect peoples memories and ask you if you want to change your name.

Yue from Rune factory 2 also appears at the inn and will sell you items. The items range from failed dishes to rare and hard to find items.
