I don't know how to make him or her go away for good but I just whack it with a shovel it will leave almost a minute later with no charge.

Sorry I figured it out 1. Go to Gretchen Fetchem's shop if you are level 5 or higher 2. Get a Barkbark 3. Give it a spiked collar 4. A new button will appear 5. Click that button while it is awake, and you can keep Ruffians and sour pinatas from even appearing, but that can be a bad thing seeing as how sour pinatas have to be tamed in order to advance,so turn of the guard dog feature every once and a while.

When you hit level 6 you can buy the Captain's Cutlass for 11,000 choco-coins. Once bought it prevents Ruffians from entering or even appearing the garden anymore. Hope I helped! Smile

When you reach level 6 you can buy the Captain's Cutlass from Lottie's store, It costs 11,000 choco-coins. It keeps all the Ruffians away, and no more need for a Barkbark, which scares away the Sours too.
