I can't find a place to bury the dead...where is the cemetary and can anyone do it?

First build the brige in the middle of the island, then take a vilager [I don't know if it needs to be a certain type] over to the top right corner and set him down [If he/she does nothing try another villager] and you should have a graveyard.

You need an adept priest and take it to the peaceful place in any of the areas of the game. Place the villager there if the sparkle stuff pops up and they should make a cemetary
