How do you open the suitcase in the Guest Bedroom ??

I have tried to open the case with the coded lock but I can't hear the clicks, I have tried to do it quickly and slowly and still can't open it. The game wont let me go any further until I open the suitcase.....is there something I am missing ???

You need to combine the funnel and the hose to make a stethascope. Use it on the case. Then you can hear the clicks.
