During the first Phase of Savato I can cut one stand off the web but after that The web strands won't disappear no matter how hard I hack away at them? Is this just my game acting up or is there a trick to it?

Its hard but it can be done. As you cut a strand of the web the rest of them will turn red. When the red dissapears there will be a sudden drop in your pulse rate. You also wont be able to use the scalpel for a certain amount of time (couple of seconds). You will then be able to use the scalpel again and the pattern will continue. You just have to keep doing this until you finally get rid of the web. It took me days but it can be done, just keep trying.

hold the scapel on the middle of the web until it breaks. while you wait for angie to get a spare up his vitals. be carefull tho cause savato bug will make babies and a new string

if you have got teh cheat 'infiniate scapel on it wont work after the first one. Take it off and try it

this game is soooo much easier when you use the ceat of maximum vitals... i know it is a massive cheat but so much easier and less stressful.
