To get to the hidden glade you have to go through the forest figting goblins until you reach a small area where there looks to be a cave and ontop of it there is a tree with a creepy face. Talk to the tree and it tells you to defeat the mole troll in the cave bellow. After doing so, talk to the tree again and it will take you to the glade where Auther Spiderwick is. To get to the swamp you have to go almost out of the dwarf mines and there will be a river/pond thingy, where you will use your skimersprites to go across. This is where the swamp is.
