How do you change from one lead character to another?

HI, I want to change the lead character I'm playing on the game from Jared to Simon. In the instruction booklet it says to go into status scroll in the book and click from one to the other but in my status scroll I only have Jared and that is who is my current lead character. Can anyone help me to change to simon please?

Hi there,

In your field guide book ( spiderwick book) you will fine the section status. Click on that option.

If your option says only Jared, then that is the character you have so far in the game. It means you haven't gotten far enough in the game for Mallery and Simon to join in yet. Continue playing and they will join up.

If you have their pictures, they go in this order: left to right. Farthest left character will be the character represented on the play screen. IF you wish to switch a character, then click on the character, ( it will highlight red) then click on the furthest left character and they will switch places. Exit out and that character is now on the screen. Hope this helps.

i have the same problem and im past the point of mallory and Simon but i have no "selection status" option

Tap the field guide in the corner of the touch screen. When you have a list of options, tap STATUS. You will be given 3 portraits (Jared, Simon and Mallory) tap 2 portraits to swap them round. Hope this helps!
