I don't think it is possible for the sim you created to become a ghost because there isn't any way for it to die in the game. However, if you want to CONTROL a ghost, it is possible to marry one. If you want to meet a ghost, go out to the cemetary at night and they will start to appear. Find a ghost of the opposite sex and talk to them. There is only one ghost that actually has a house and that is Star Vega who lives in the eerie edifice. You have to be quick about it in the cemetary because at one point all of the ghosts out there suddenly faint.
Owning a ghost is kind of cool. I mean, they can go through stuff and they make this cool haunted sound when they move. But for some reason they don't have cars. So if you get them a job, they have to be fairly close because the only way pf transportation is floating three inches off the ground the whole way. That's the only downside, it's pretty cool having a ghost.
