I am soo stuck! Please help me!

Ok, so the chef asked me to make him another fire (I already made him one). I don't think I can make it for him or get any further in this game because I need the metal pole, but I already took it from the helicopter and I made a crowbar before I knew I needed it for the fire. I read that you can get on from Suzie McDress after you finish helping her, but I need the knife to get her a skrit and Chef won't give me the knife becuase I think I need to make him the new fire!!! ( plus I would like to know how to get the axe :P )

Am I supposed to already have the knife?
Am I completely stuck and have to start over?

Please Help Me?!!

I think the plaiting lady gives you the knife. You have to get her mangos and I am stuck too. I can't figure out how to make a grass skirt for the girl. After I already have the grass for it and I can't make a stupid fire ether, for the same reason,,,

I didn't use the metal pole that I found at the plane for the crowbar, however, I could not use it for the fire because the fire upgrade requires a large metal pole and the pole that we found is a small metal pole. So I think you might be ok. I am stuck on making the second fire upgrade, too. After you get the limes and sardines for the butcher, he will give you the knife.
You get the axe by trading with the gardener for an axe head or something. Then, you go to the crafting table and craft the axe head. Then, when you trade with Suzie McDress twice (I think) then she will give you the axe handle, then go back to the crafting table and craft the entire axe.

I have all I need except Bamboo - after harvesting it the first time, I have been unable to find/trade for any more. I don't know if I did something wrong. How did you have bamboo?

me either im i gave him limes and sardine but he didnt give it to me. i read that after the second fire he will but i cant figure it out cuz the metal pole. and i also read suzy mcdress gives you it after you make her insrument and play it for her but i cant figure that out either
