How to make the rope!

It's driving me mad!! I have 8 vines but I just don't know where to go to make the rope or how to make it! I also need one more plank- I got one out of the boxes that drift onto the beach. Thank you!!

Go to the crafting station, if you haven't done already and make it there. Im not sure where to get the other plank though, have you tried trading with dr. Feelgood?
