I need some help, I can't figure how to get the knife, rope, and purple..

Question for The Sims 2: Castaway

I need some help, I can't figure how to get the knife, rope, and purple eggplant to make the curry. I also can't find the mango if someone knows please help me.

i must be thick answered:

Rope - you have to craft it by using the vines. mango is on the third island
Knife you get given it by the chef (i think - you definatly get it from someone)
The ingrediants for the curry - you have to plant the seeds and grow them you get them from the gardener and to get the egg plant you have to get 2 melons. They wither get washed up on shore or you trade the seeds with the gardener.

You can make the rope using vines. Just go to the crafting table and make the rope. To get the eggplant, you have to wait for the gardener to get the seeds. Once she has them, plant them and water them.

To get the mangos, you have to make the boat. To make the boat you have to upgrade the chef's fire once to get the chisel. Once you get the chisel (you also need the hammer) find the log in the area by the chef. That becomes your boat.
