Go to the store with the blue skinned guy named Johnny Smith and talk to him to get the Metal Detector. It is located at the place where your Vacuum and Water Gun is. Go out into the desert and use the Metal Detector and soon enough you will be able to find objects in the sand. You will know that by the Metal Detector beeps. Press the green ( I think ) shovel button to dig it up. The lever also can tell you what item it is. Slide it up and down slowly until you get a good view of it and you should be able to see if it is a bar. There are Copper, Silver, and Gold Bars. Don't give him the Silver or Gold bars. Just Copper. Take the other bars to the Vault if youve already made it. Select process bars and you will get more money than you would if you sold them.
