Hey to get aliens you need the metal detector. Then are barried under ground. Sorry but your going to have to wait till you get a metal detecter. And hint make sure you always charge your metal detector or else it wont work you can charge it where you put the nuclear rods in for the electricity. Hope I helped.

There are two types of aliens....mummified ones in the desert that you find with your metal detector (you buy it at the store after prompted to find 3 bars of precious metals in the desert) and live ones that invade the main street, the pasture by the cows, or the sun deck at the hotel. The metal detector will beep, use the lever on the right of the screen and move it up and down with your stylus...that will focus the outline of the object that is buried...if you like what you see, hit the shovel icon and what you just dug up will be in your pocket. The aliens on the street/sun deck come at random. The wierd alien music comes and you are in moving in slow motion like a dream. Usually someone calls you on the phone to let you know the aliens are in town. Get your water blaster ready, full and pumped up. Aim at your gun at the alien; when he is in your crosshairs, hit the splash icon and it will douse him and he will leave. Run back inside, reload your gun, save your game, and go try to get another one...usually there are three. As for goons, you fight them in the rat suit from the basement when they randomly show up -- again, you are notified by phone. You can fight Lord Mole, the robots, Jimmy the neck and gang, and the shoplifter (I forget his name right now, but he runs off in a grocery cart).

You need to wait untill the mission where you have to find 3 metals in the dessert. This will allow you to buy the metal detector from the store. You do not need the shovel to find items.

You can fight robots aliens some tough looking guys and a scruff.
