Question for The Sims 2

Could anyone tell me if this version of the game is anything like the version on the psp, like where you can walk where you like or if it is like the ps2 version where you stay at the 1 house and just move around, around there.

If anyone can answer this I would be very gratefull.

You're stranded in a desert town plagued by aliens, robots and stuff. They make you the manager of the only hotel in town and you build rooms, keep the guests happy and fulfill quests. You can buy furniture at the store to redecorate the rooms (including your own) but you can't build or move to another building.

The Sims2 is entirely different on the three different portable games - GBA, DS and PSP. On the GBA you still live in one house and fulfill quests, but the scenario is that you are on a reality TV show and you're the only one in town who knows it (except your boss, Daddy Bigbucks). You play out different episodes with different plots. I don't own a PSP so I don't know what the game is like on it, just that it is something completely different again.
