Question for The Sims 2

I have a metal detector and everything and i've gone to the desert but I can't find metal bars.....how do I get them?????

Simple, go 2 the pockets menu and click on the metal detector and just walk around.

I have a tip if you have the vault process the bars in the money machine don't sell them
