Question for The Sims 2

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to change the time on the game ? I have read on a few cheats that by changing the time that you can gain things etc.
Just can't figure it out ?
Any help ?

It is simple you have to change the time on your ds settings. However doing this for sims 2 will cause an alien invasion to come.
