Question for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

I'm having trouble defeating CLEEOG in the Ice Temple. I can break his masks off, but I don't know how to hurt him after that??? It's probably very simple but I can't figure it out....

Slash him in the front with your sword, he will block it with his claws which momentarily "stuns him". Then run around and hit the blue thing he has for a tail.
