The pedastals

On the visit to the temple to get the 2 new sea charts and you have to use the triforce symbol everyone says to put the crystals in this order: square circle triangle but mine is ordered circle square triangle

Well the first time you do it you have to put them in the order they are placed. But the second time you have to do it you put them in the order square circle triangle. That causes a new room to appear.
