Maze island quick route on normal difficulty.

REMEMBER TO MARK ALL THE STATUES ON YOUR MAP!!


Make a sharp right upon entering the maze and sprint east. Speed things up by climbing the first steps of stairs you come across. Drop off the ledge above and continue running east along the dirt paths beyond.Run up another set of steps to the southeast and hit the statue darkened crystal orb on the ledge above this lowers some nearby spikes to the east, granting you easy access to the mazes southeast statue. Smack the statue and then backtrack out. Toss the boomerang northward across a low wall and watery pit, lighting a darkened crystal orb that stands on the ground near another statue. You'll get to that statue soon. For now sprint east and go after the second statue just as you did before: shoot the eye crest on the wall to lower the spikes in front of it. Hurry north from the second one, taking your first left and whacking a stone statue along the western path. Continue onward past the statue and smack another one lose by to the south. You couldn't have gotten this one so easily if you hadn't lighted that orb before. Run north from the fourth statue working your way through the lower pathways near the prize platform as you make for the northernmost statue. Hit that one and then bolt southwest as youdid before. Turn north when you reach a wall and run northward to find two wooden pegs sticking up from the ground. Quickly run a rope between them with the Grappling Hook, then spring off the rope using it like a slingshot to propel you up onto the raised north platform. Speed west afterward dropping off the ledge to circumvent some spikes and quickly reach the northeast statue. Hit the nearby crystal orb to lower the spikes you've just snuck past then backtrack toward those spikes. Go south past the spikes as you dash for the southwest statue. After hitting it turn around and run up the north steps just as you did before. Leap from one elevated platform to the next as you rush east. Before leaping across to the prize platform run down some steps to find the eighth and final statue standing in a tiny walled off areas. Leap across the east gap to reach the prize ledge then run north toward the chest.
