There are yellow poles you can stand on connected to a smaller island. How do you jump across onto the connecting one??

With the grappling hook which can be obtained on the Isle of Frost

You must first have the Grappling Hook, which you can get on the Isle of Frost. Once you get it, you draw a line from one pole to the next, and you may walk across the rope and get to the other side.
