How am I supposed to get the stupid star in the monkeys cage on tall, tall mountain, please help me out, this is making me want to throw this dumb machine at the wall!

LOL, if it's the level I think your talking about go backwards from where you started a climb the tree until the owl comes out and grab the owls to the cage.
Haha... Frustrated, eh? To get that star, you have to get to the top of the mountain. You should see a monkey hopping around there. Just grab the monkey and the monkey will offer to give you a reward if you let him go. Let him go and follow him. He will lower the cage down to the place with the rolling log thing. Just go and get it like a normal star (duh). P.S.:This can not be completed as Yoshi (without a cap) because he can't grab things.
