Question for Super Mario 64 DS

I am yoshi and I keep going in and out of the castle but the shining rabbits aren't there and I have 148 stars

Do you swith characters when you find rabbits? If you don't switch. Every character (mario, luigi, wario & yoshi)will have to capture 2 shiny rabbits those shinny rabbits will just appear anytime you play so just play like normal who know you migth fin all of them! I already caugth 2!

wait let me get this straight so when your yoshi and you go outside and you don't see any shiny rabbits you capture 2 then go inside go and it apear and wanna say something this guy on youtube went out he had found 2 shiny rabbits on his 1 try and ge back isid

inside 2 try 2 capture 3 try 1 capture in the basement but didn't save he need 4 or 3 rabbits to go but when he finished the game but he didn't made the video to look for the rabbits but still try to search at the spot where he found them with mario and yoshi 4 outside and l at the basement
