Question for Super Mario 64 DS

Hey thanks for the help on the last Q but heres another one I'm stuck in whomps fortres I think it's the 6th star and it's called blast away the wall I have no idea what to do

You have to unlock the cannon go in the cannon and blast yourself to the corner. The corner will brake and a star will apear blast yorself again and get the star.

Run over to the cannon,hop into it,aim at the top right corner of the wall next to you shoot your self at the corner do it again but at the second wall next to the 1st,then shoot yourself at the star
