How do I um ground pound the pillars to drain the moats?
I'm comfused.

You need to beat "Bowser in the Dark World." Then go into the basement, which is between the two staircases that goes to the courtyard and Big Boo's Haunt.
Go through the curved corridor. Then find the door on a raised part of the floor. Inside there is a slope that goes underwater and under the floor. Swim through the water. On the other side there will be two platforms that are just above the waterline. Ground pound both and the water level will go down. There is a metal door at the end of the room that leads outside, but if you did this as Luigi, go back the way you came, and you should find a rabbit.
