Question for Super Mario 64 DS

Hey, I'm just new to this but anyway, this is a UK version Mario game, I have 36 stars, How do I do the thing to flood in water town?

In the middle of the level where there is not much buildings there should be a pillar.Jump up onto the pillar and there will be a pyramid shaped thing.Just walk into it and the level will drain.NOTE:information taken from Super Mario 64 on the N64.

It's easy. Do a triple jump HIGH into the painting.
