No you can't. The only thing in there is the trap. You can easily win Bowser as you battle him for the first time.

You mean the one where it starts as peach and the closer get the more it starts to change into bowser? No you can't jump into that. There's a trap in the way, but, if you were to jump over that, there's an invisible wall that you can't get through.
