Well my opinion I think that you have to be yoshi and try to catch him with your tounge. But the thing is face him don't zoom in because if you do and you turn while you zoom in he wont stay there he will just stay behind you well anyways try it it might work.
I think you can because yoshi can use his tongue to eat him, although it
will be hard
