Why dosen't it work?

Hello, I'm new here, and I'm just wondering why doesn't the 'play as princess Peach' code work? Well, I CAN be Peach, but I can't move!! Why doesn't it work? Please tell me. Thanks!

The simplest answer is that Peach is not meant to be a playable character, and therefore the game does not allow you to control her, probably because the game itself controls Peach during normal play, rather than you, so it does not recognize your input.

Well thats not rillee true because you need a code thats called a control npc code but I don't no it
