How do you unlock the funny characters for the DS?

It is for Spongebob Globs of Doom for DS

You have to beat the final boss with all the characters

Don't you need to get A+ or A++ on a world to unlock the characters on that world?

I think you have to kill every boss indivually. When you start the battle, only use one of the characters. I recommended activating the invincible partner cheat. I didn't get the Funny codes tbh, but I think you must do it this way. I have them all but those.

I somehow managed to unlock them before getting this, but I don't know how. It'd been a while since I last played the game, so it either was just time or April Fools (I highly doubt this as this unlocks the invicible code) or some other event.

It definitely wasn't because of the boss battles, as I only played with Spongebob and Technus.
