Use Patrick to carry the green thing. You can throw it at the flying saucers to kill them. On the jumps that are too big for Patrick to make while carrying the green thing, jump and throw it at the same time. As long as it does not go down with you it will stay on the ramps. Do that twice on the big jumps, while forfeiting some of your life bar, until you get to the gun. Drop the green thing on the gun and it does the rest.
