Sorry my other anwser was kinda confusing but heres what I mean.
Lets say you get a fossil thats damaged with no crown it will start at like lvls 1-10 which I have seen so far on my game and lets say you got the same one but with a crown it will be very strong my highest fossil with a crown is lvl 34
My highest fossil with a crown was 45.......
but if you reaaly want to get them up just excavate them before 0:40 time
Sry to disagree but the crown has nothing to do with level but instead it allows them to evolve to adult instantly. Try putting the child in the incubator and it will be ready 2 evolve. Put one not crowned and one crowned and you will see wut I mean.
Crowns makes the child spectrobes evolove into adult spectrobes instantly without minerals.
Look at cube 21 which is phi, basically, if it has a crown, it is ready to evolve once you awaken it.
