how do u get the giga tool

You just go to one of the ships and one of them is the mineral and tools guy and you can buy it for 3,000 gura and I believe that the excavation level should be around at least 3 or 4 and that you need to be further in the game.Hoped I helped.

There is no minimum level. I purchased Giga while I still had level one mining. It only works on minerals if you already excavated them once (so, if you found a ruby, you can save time by using Giga in subsequent finds). It will work on fossils 40-50 of the time, in my experience.

the giga tool has no minimum level and realy handy if u want to rush mine (mine minerals quickly, saving time) and is probably the best tool in the game, the only thing you have to worry about is mining fossils, the way i see it, it wont successfully excavate any fossil except the same fossil that the child spectrobe came from
e.g if u have a grilda following u u can only excavate grilpods (keeping in mind it wont 100% work)

I got access to buy the Giga Tool after beating Maja on Nox. The story will need you to return to Kollin so you can just buy it then at the shopping center without having to go out of your way.
