To have unlimited boost gauge, you need to unlock the ability to turn into super sonic. To unlock super sonic you must unlock all the acts of gameland. At first you start with act 1 of each level. You must unlock the other acts by collecting Al red star rings in the game. Act 3 of each level has a chaos emerald as a reward for finishing it. Once you have all 7 emeralds, go to the options and set the supersonic option on. Once you go to a level, collect 50 rings and shake the Wii remote. Now you have become supersonic with unlimited boost. When you have the supersonic option on, you cannot use power up wisps. If you don't know where to find the star rings, then look up a walkthrough on YouTube or something. Good luck!
