Question for SimCity Creator

In the Global Warming Age there is an option in the budget menu concerning research. I used the MONEYBAGS cheat, lowered the taxes and raised the support for everything. I have waited 20 years in the game and still nothing has happened. How to you get the Sims to research stuff? PLEASE HELP ME! I've ALMOST RAN OUT OF SPACE IN MY LANDFILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, 1st you have to get at least 70% approval rating, then make sure it's in at least year 2000 or over, then destroy all things that you can that help pollution, build oil and coal plants and other polluting things, wait. You should soon get a message from the mayor and the scientist saying you should advance to the next stage. Hope this Helped -Echidy
