Can someone please tell me how I can get a water Pokemon so I can use surf! Thanks

Water Pokemon can be found throughout the game. However, you don't need a Water-Type Pokemon to use Surf. Many Pokemon that are not Water-Type can learn HM Surf.

The first Pokemon that can be found in the wild that can learn HM Surf would probably have to be Ducklett. Ducklett is a Water/Flying Type Pokemon that can be found on the Driftveil Drawbridge.
