You cannot get to White forest until you beat the elite four and Ghestsis, and the way near it is'nt located near Driftveil city in the first place.

Keep going until you get to the Pokemon league, beat the elite four, beat N and Ghetsis then you will be able to go across the bridge into White Forest.
