Question for Pokemon White

I transfered a Gligar from Emerald, and the Pokemon info said "apparently arrived at level 37 'after a long travel through time". But in Emerald I caught the Gligar in the Safari Zone. Does anyone know what that means?!?!?

Yeah. It's all about the Pokemon timeline. Emerald was a 3rd generation game. The 4th generation of Pokemon took place 3 years after the 3rd generation. The 5th generation of Pokemon took place 10 years after the 4th generation. That would mean the Pokemon had to travel 13 years into the future if it went from your Pokemon Emerald game to your Pokemon White game.
