Well Pokemon in the Daycare level up as you walk around. So basically you'll just have to walk around for awhile and wait for it to level up. It might take awhile so you should find something to do in the game for awhile.

Personally at the rate a Pokemon levels up in day care I would suggest battling trainers since you gain more experience points, and they evolve unless you choose not to evolve them. If you don't want to battle then go ahead but your going to want something to do in the game for quite a while, and if your looking for Hydregion you'll have to level up twice on your own to get it to Zwelious, then Hydregion.
