Question for Pokemon Soul Silver

Can I change the date for a Pokemon so, I want to catch a houndour, and you can find them in the safari zone. But I read on serebii that you have to put certain items in certain areas and wait a few days and I don't even know how to do it..at all! So...does anyone know what to do? Do I have to wait a long time before getting houndour?

To be honest, I would suggest to get one Trade. It would be a lot easier.

After you have done the first two tasks for the Safari Zone Owner, he will call you daily with more tasks. If you do these tasks, he will give you objects. You can then put these objects in the Safari Zone. After you have a certain number of objects in the Safari Zone for a certain amount of days, more Pokemon can be found. It can be a little confusing. However, you can mess with the Date in your DS to speed up the process.
