No type of Poke Ball effects experience. The Level Ball works based on your pokemon's level compared to the level of the wild Pokemon.
If you pokemon's level is the same or less than that of the wild Pokemon, the ball has a 1x catch rate multiplier (works the same as a Poke Ball).
If your pokemon's level is greater than the wild pokemon's level, but less than double the level of the wild Pokemon, the ball has a 2x catch rate multiplier (works the same as an Ultra Ball).
If your pokemon's level is greater than double the wild pokemon's level but less than quadruple the level of the wild Pokemon, it has a 4x catch rate multiplier (the same as a properly used Moon Ball).
If you pokemon's level is greater than quadruple the level of the wild Pokemon, than the Level Ball has an 8x catch rate multiplier (the same as a properly used Love Ball).
