Why can't I back up my data for this game using an AR DSi? It says no game card inserted but it works for Pokemon platinum?

Well, the true question is that Pokemon Platinum works on your AR and that Pokemon Soul Silver does not. The reason is that Soul Silver (SS) is too new to the world. It does codes because the Pokemon creators made AR codes for the little cheaters of the Pokemon Universe but didn't make it capable of Back-Up saves. So, according to Me, Mysterious Star, the chances of you Backing-Up your SS game are about 36.3%. I hope this helps you.
