Training and the daycare work, but are very time consuming. Rare Candies level up your Pokemon instantly, but are very difficult to find, you may only get 4 or 5 in the whole game.

Rare Candies are found at the Battle Frontier for 48 BP and otherwise are very rarely found in the game. The daycare may do the trick, but is only instant on weak Pokmon and gets slower as they level up, because of every step you take the Pokmon in the daycare earns 1 Exp. Point. Training takes the longest time, but it will certainly work. I have always relied on each and every way I could find, so it is up to you to decide which way to use. I hope this helps.
