What happened to my map of kanto?!

What happened to my map of kanto?!
i just bought an ar and after a few times of turning the game on, i lost my kanto map. i cant fly there or the pokemon league. the closest i can get is mt. silver...is there ANY way to fix this or would i have to restart the game?

A lot of people seem to be having this problem and upon looking it up I have find the solution.
Go to Olivine City, then go inside the S.S. Aqua using the Walk Through Walls Code, then get through the guard at the port, go past the guard at the ship. Then go through the sailor inside the ship without talking to him, then talk to him when you passed him and he is supposed to say that you have arrived at Vermilion City(don't worry just talk to the guy once regardless what he says and then exit you will be in vermilion city). By then your Kanto Map should be back, if not exit the port and go to another city by walking.
Here is the walk through walls cheat in case you don't have it:
R B to enable, L B to disable
