What is going on? I don't have pokerus or max evs and ivs.I was leveling up my pokemon,Quilava and it's defense went up +14 all of a sudden.It's other stats went up normally.What's going on?

It happens with certain pokemon and stats. Several times (all in different files) I have seen one of Lugia's stats get a 28 boost. nothing to worry about.

this could also be because of certain items equiped to it. My pupitar has an item i bought from the battle frontier to raise it's defense, after beating a graveler and lvling up he gained 10 to defense
