Just like in the first Pokemon Ranger game, you can have up to 7 Pokemon with you all the time when you beat the game.

You can have 7 on this game, but I've completed the original Pokemon Ranger and you can only have one on that.
Mitar3 answered:

Yes you can

mathater answered:

I think the question is PARTNER Pokemon, not wild pokemon. Yes, you can have more than one. They total up to one per type if you finish all the quests for them. However you can only bring one out to the field to help with your captures. The rest is kept at the Partner Field.

nhahtdh answered:

You can have more than 1 Partner Pokemon (the Pokemon that bonded with you and won't go away after assisting you). However, you can only bring one Partner Pokemon at a time. Others will stay in Partner Farm south of Chicole Village. You will get more Partner Pokemon through out the game by doing quests and sometimes during a mission.

You can find 17 in total, but you can take only one with you. The other 16 partner Pokemon stay in the partner farm, in Chicole Village.

Here's a list made by me to help you find all the partner pokemon:

Partner Pokemon:

There's one partner for each type(17 in total). Some patners, like Croagunk, are only one type in Pokmon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. 1.-Pre-Ending Partners:

1.1.-First Partner: Choose one of these, and it will wait for you to become an area ranger, so you can make it your partner pokemon. (people who aren't Pokemon rangers cannot have a partner pokemon). 1.- Electric partner: Pachirisu
Found in: Rookie Mission: "Soothe Pokmon on the Beach!"

2.- Flying partner: Starly
Found in: Rookie Mission: "Soothe Pokmon on the Beach!"

3.- Normal partner: Munchlax
Found in: Rookie Mission: "Soothe Pokmon on the Beach!"

NOTE: The two pokmon you didn't choose in the rookie mission will be available in post ending quests. You'll find:

-Pachirisu in quest 47: "Pachirisu's Hide & Seek" (Mrs. April from Ranger School)

-Munchlax in quest 48: "Things That Go Bump..." (Little Sister from Chicole Village)

-Starly in quest 49: "Starly Lost it's Way" (Explorer from Haruba Desert)

1.2.-Story partners: these can be found during the normal storyline. 4.- Bug partner: Kricketot
Found in: Mission 04: "Destroy the Strange Machines!"

5.- Rock partner: Cranidos
Found in: Quest 08: "Please Save Cranidos"

6.- Grass partner: Turtwig
Found in: Quest 15: "Please Save Turtwig"

7.- Poison partner: Croagunk
Found in: Mission 07: "Teach at Ranger School!"

8.- Steel partner: Shieldon
Found in: Quest 21: "Please Save Shieldon"

9.- Fire partner: Chimchar
Found in: Quest 24: "Please Save Chimchar"

10.- Water partner: Piplup
Found in: Quest 28: "Please Save Piplup"

11.- Psychic partner: Mime Jr. Found in: Mission 11: "Get the Red Gem!"

12.- Ice partner: Snover
Found in: Quest 32: "Snover's Mysterious Presence"

2.- Post-Ending partners: these partner pokmon can be found only when you've defeated Team Dim Sun's final boss and captured the final pokmon. 13.- Dark partner: Sneasel
Found in: Quest 35: "Mischievous Sneasel"

14.- Ghost partner: Misdreavus
Found in: Quest 36: "Misdreavus Mischief Mystery"

15.- Fighting partner: Machop
Found in: Quest 50: "What happened to Machop!?"

16.- Ground partner: Hippopotas
Found in: Quest 51: "Who is on Hippowdon's Nose?"

17.- Dragon partner: Gible
Found in: Quest 52: "Pelipper's Plea"

Good luck on finding partners!
