The best way to catch steelix is to wait until it starts circling in the middle of the screen, then use your Minun/Plusle's PokeAssist and then very quickly cirlce it I think 11 times without touching any of it's body. Hope I helped Smile

You should catch the sneasle in front of it, it will double the length of your line for a few seconds
