Question for Pokemon Platinum

My son would like to know how to save his progress while playing Pokemon plattinum on his 3DS. When he hits the home button it's says all unsaved data will be lost. How can he save before he hits the the home button again? Thank You, Dan. Z

Has he tried using the "Save" function? It is right there on the bottom screen. If it tells him that there is already a save file and he cannot save, then he must delete the old save file first. If it still won't let him save, then the game is damaged.

Sorry, not bottom screen, pause menu. I forgot what game this was. Push "start" and choose "save."

not true i'll give you the steps
1. press X then go to the two to last option (save) then in asks if you wish to save the game pres yes then it'll ask if you want to overwrithe te data press yes then it should be saved.
2. if this didn't work, restart the game:
put your DS off and on and when you see Giratina (the moving pokemon before the menu) and press up+b+select then it'll ask if you want to destroy all saved data press yes and then confirm your choise, now the game should save again or its damaged

Actually he is right, just he probably has his button controls set to "START=X".

Your son must press X to open up the menu and then hit the "Save" button, then overwrite the data, and press the Home button.
