What you have to do is go to the game menu. Here you have to go down to the new game option and click on it. This will start a new game for you. If you save the new game though it will delete all the Pokemon and items on the old game file. So make sure theres no shiny or event Pokemon you want to keep on the game.

So, you go to the screen with Giratina on it and press Up SELECT B Button at the same time. A screen will show up and it says, "If you delete your old save file, you cannot recover it. Press A after that. It will then say, "Delete your old save file?" Select "Yes" and it will delete your old save file. Now, to start a new one, on the main menu, either select the play option or the "New Game" option and it will start your new game.
